We believe that humanity was created in the image of God for fellowship with Him and dominion over creation. Through Adam’s disobedience, sin entered the world, resulting in spiritual death and separation from God for all humanity. All people are born with a sinful nature and are by nature and choice sinners, unable to save themselves or earn divine favor. Every person stands in need of salvation through God’s grace (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23; 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3).
We affirm: The universal nature of sin and humanity’s complete inability to save itself.
We deny: The inherent goodness of humanity or any form of salvation by works.
