We believe that water baptism by immersion is an ordinance of the Church, symbolizing the believer’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. It is an act of obedience following salvation and a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ. Communion (the Lord’s Supper) is a memorial ordinance whereby believers partake of bread and cup, remembering Christ’s body broken and blood shed for our salvation. Both ordinances are means of grace that strengthen faith and promote spiritual growth (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3-4; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
We affirm: Believer’s baptism by immersion and regular observance of communion.
We deny: That baptism or communion are necessary for salvation or convey saving grace.
