We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity, proceeding from the Father and the Son. He is the divine Agent who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; regenerates, indwells, baptizes, seals, and fills all believers; and empowers the church for worship, service, and witness. The Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts to believers for the edification of the Body of Christ and the advancement of God’s Kingdom. All the gifts of the Spirit, including but not limited to prophecy, healing, miracles, tongues, and interpretation, are available to the church today (John 16:8-11; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Ephesians 4:11-16).
We affirm: The present-day operation of all spiritual gifts as the Spirit wills.
We deny: That spiritual gifts ceased with the apostolic age or are limited to certain believers.
