We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all believers from Pentecost to the Rapture. The local church is a congregation of baptized believers organized for worship, fellowship, instruction, evangelism, and service. Christ is the Head of the Church, and local churches should be autonomous under His Lordship, led by qualified pastors and deacons according to biblical standards. The Church has been commissioned to make disciples of all nations through the preaching of the Gospel and the demonstration of God’s Kingdom power (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 1:22-23; 4:11-16).
We affirm: The autonomy of local churches under Christ’s headship and the universal Body of Christ.
We deny: Any human authority that supersedes Christ’s headship over the Church.
